‘Twas the night before the eve of that big special day,
When all throughout the city
Not a creature was still. All was pretty:
Beautiful window displays created with care,
In hope that young ones would stop and stare.
Hi there,
Here is an eleventh hour gift guide based on the best gift ever – BOOKS. Last year my lovely sister got me Carl Jung’s Red Book, while the year before a good friend gifted me Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Books are great to receive before the cold winter months and give you so much more than a ‘thing’. Books provide an experience, a mode of reflection, which allows us to travel our vast inner-landscape. Practically, books are also great because tomorrow you can quickly sneak into your favorite store and pick-up a book plus wrapping in 1 stop (ya don’t even need a box)! Without further ado, enjoy the list…
With love & gratitude,
Genni Lee Hester.
1. Beauty Detox Foods by Kimberly Snyder
This year Beauty Detox Foods quickly became a New York Times best seller. Both this, and Kim’s first book, Beauty Detox Solution, give great plus usable advice for those who want more glow in life!

2. Yoga Bitch by Suzanne Morrison
The title says it all, I’ve been wanting to write a blog post on this book for over a year. It is a must gift for any yogini or yogi friends you might have. Here’s the book trailer:
3. The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Duh, what thoughtful book list of 2013 would skip this one? I’m only 1/2 way through, but I still urge you to go for it! The only caveat: buy two copies, you’ll want to gift and read this one.
4. The Philosophy of the Coen Brothers edited by Mark T. Conard
Have someone in your family who loves Joel & Ethan Coen? Get them this book. The Barton Fink and Miller’s Crossing essays are especially fantastic, they add even more depth and dimension to each film.
5. memoirs of the am by Genni Lee Hester
Okay, I am a bit bias, but I do hope you will enjoy this collection of poetry!
